Guesses and liberties

  • The original is a Java applet (later also Flash) whose simulation step rate is not documented; 30 Hz is inferred from recordings.
  • Element fall speeds, densities and wind coupling are judged from behaviour, not extracted. The reaction table is sourced; these numbers are not.
  • Element behaviour is reconstructed from the Dan-Ball Wiki reaction table, not from the original code. The table is community-maintained and may itself be incomplete.
  • The original has evolved continuously since 2007 and is on version 9.8 — this targets the behaviour as commonly documented, not any one dated release.
